The GossipBots

The GossipBots – installation by Quintus Glerum

Its an installation of two robotic security cameras that are looking around the space to find people to gossip about. Using movement they mimic this very human defining ability.

Ever since the first spearhead, humans have made use of technology to improve their own limited capabilities. The human need for im¬provement has ushered in an age in which technology is learning to improve itself. In our quest to control our own development we’ve become more like the machi¬nes we create, while our tech¬nology becomes more human. Every new generation of automation seems to come with an inevitable period of existential dread for the human race. With technology taking over more and more tasks, we are left with the question of what makes us still human?
